The Fox CD

I've been collecting the 1981 era stuff for years and this one finally fills the gap between his experimental records and the comeback. The pressing sounds warm, no crackle at all, and it honestly plays better than my old cassette copy ever did.

Picked this up on a whim and the transition from his early 80s experimentation into what came next really clicks when you play it start to finish. The track sequencing on side two is what got me, it flows way better than I remembered.

The remaster finally does justice to the layered synths on this record, which always sounded muddy on my old copy. It's a strange little transitional album, but that's exactly why I keep coming back to it.
