Isabella Z. ★★★★★

The pressing is dead quiet, which really matters on a live record where you can hear Ray Cooper's tambourine and congas in the quiet moments. Just Elton and Ray for six nights at the Rainbow, and it captures that intimacy perfectly.

Emma H. ★★★★★

The stripped-down arrangement on this record is something else — just piano and percussion, no full band, and it somehow fills the room more than the big productions do. Side two alone justifies the purchase.

Owen N. ★★★★★

The Ray Cooper percussion on this Rainbow Theatre set is way more upfront than I expected, especially on the solo bits between songs. You can hear the room too, which makes the whole thing feel like you're sitting a few rows back in 1977.
