Hannah M. ★★★★★

The live-in-the-studio recording really comes through on "Hey Ahab" — you can hear the room and the players feeding off each other. T-Bone Burnett's production keeps everything warm and uncluttered, letting those two voices sit front and center. Been on repeat in my car all week.

Owen ★★★★★

Wasn't sure what to expect from these two together, but the live-in-the-studio recording gives it this warm, unpolished feel that suits the songs. T-Bone Burnett's production keeps the focus on the voices instead of piling on gloss. Been on repeat in my car all week.

Stella ★★★★★

Didn't expect a 2010 collab to hit this hard, but Elton and Leon trading vocals on these tracks is something else. T-Bone Burnett's production keeps everything warm and uncluttered, and you can tell it was cut live in the studio.
