17-11-70 CD

You can hear the crowd and the crackle of the original broadcast, which makes it feel like you’re sneaking a listen to history. Elton’s piano work on those early tracks is just breathtaking, and the whole session flies by.

The early version of "Your Song" on here stripped down to just piano and voice gave me chills the first time through. You can hear every bit of the crowd energy from that 1970 session, it genuinely feels like being in the room.

The live radio session vibe on this CD is incredible—you can practically hear the crowd hanging on every note. Elton's piano runs on "Burn Down the Mission" alone are worth the price. Been spinning it in my car all week.
