Tumbleweed Connection Deluxe 2CD

The Deluxe 2CD set is a proper treat—having both the original album and the bonus disc means I can finally hear how the sessions evolved. "Talking Old Soldiers" hits even harder on the second pass.

The second disc's sequencing is what really sold me—"Burn Down the Mission" lands perfectly as the closer and gives the whole album a punchier flow than the original single-CD pressing. I've listened to "Talking Old Soldiers" at least five times already; the clarity on this remaster makes the piano

The deluxe second disc is what makes this worth rebuying — the outtakes and alternate takes of Amoreena alone justify it. Sound quality on Ballad of a Well-Known Gun is noticeably warmer than my old single-disc copy.
