Didn't expect the second disc to be the real draw here — the demos of Someone Saved My Life Tonight sound so raw compared to the album cut. Been a fan since the 70s and this 50th anniversary set finally does the record justice.

The remaster on disc one finally lets the bass breathe on "Someone Saved My Life Tonight" — I've heard this album for decades and never caught that little piano run before the last chorus. Disc two's demos are the real draw though, especially hearing these songs as bare sketches before the band got

Eva ★★★★★

Didn't own the original pressing so I can't compare, but the second disc of demos here is worth the price alone. "Someone Saved My Life Tonight" sounds incredible, and the chronological sequencing actually makes the album flow better than I remembered.
